Guaranteed Wage Scale!
We have a scale that sets wage rates by classification based on hours of experience. These rates range as follows:

NARs                                                  $8.24
NACs                                                  $8.64 - $10.86
Maintenance                                     $8.24 - $9.92
Housekeepers/Laundry/Dietary     $8.24 - $10.02
Cooks                                                 $8.47 - $11.24

Differentials
Workers that work all their regularly scheduled shifts in a month will receive a $0.10/hour differential on top of their regular pay. All NACs that provide orientation for new hires will receive a $0.25/hour differential for hours worked during such orientations.

Employer Contributions Toward Health Care
Nisqually Valley Care Center will contribute $1.30 per hour worked eligible employees for their health care costs. This contribution will increase to $1.40 per hour worked on August 1, 2008.

Wage Reopener Negotiations!
Our contract guarantees that every year we go back to the table to negotiate wage increases based on new Medicaid funding we win from the Legislature.

Advisory Committee
Union members and management representatives will be coming together regularly to discuss important issues in the facility and look for mutually beneficial ways to solve problems.
